85th Annual Meeting of the AAAS Southwestern and Rocky Mountain Division
The Southwestern and Rocky Mountain (SWARM) regional division will hold its 85th Annual Multidisciplinary Meeting—"Expanding Frontiers through the Advancement of Science"—on the campus of Rice University in Houston, Tex., from 8 to 10 April 2010.
The three-day meeting will feature symposia on nanotechnology in biology and chemistry, cancer and genes, stem cells, and synthetic biology, along with the 2010 John Wesley Powell Memorial Lecture on dark energy and the future of science by Stephon H. Alexander, associate professor of physics at Haverford College.
